The influence of defects cylinder-piston group slow-spied engines of durability
Main Article Content
Abstract
For the sea vessels power plants the reliability of operation of all ship mechanisms and units has great importance. The most important of these is the main engine. As a rule, this is a powerful two-stroke or four-stroke unit that combines a large number of moving and stationary units that have a complex relationship. Among them, the most significant are the elements of the cylinder-piston group. Since these parts experience the greatest stress during engine operation, a large number of malfunctions and defects occur. The article considers the most characteristic defects of the cylinder-piston group of low-speed engines, as well as their effect on operational reliability. Methods for timely detection and possibilities for eliminating such defects are presented.
